Actually FUD is an acronym for the Spanish words Fino, Unico y Delicioso (Refined, Unique & Delicious)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FUD_(food)
In english it makes no sense but in spanish it does, believe me, spanish is my birth language.

And el pastel de carne, well I'm from Honduras, Centralamerica, we have have pastel de carne here as well, and the thing is there is no logical translation to meatloaf, maybe Hogaza de carne (loaf tranlates to hogaza) but that sounds just plain nasty in spanish.

Funny stuff, we are located in a smaller town over in Guanajuato state, but things are similar, far less people around and lots of masks, and no school so our walk to and from work are shorter as we dont have to wade through all the kids. Pandemics have their advantages I guess. Hey, we have one of those pigs, we better put up the shrine!

I liked that the checkout girl was only wearing the mask over her mouth, almost ensuring that she would breath through her free nose and rendering her mask completely useless. With all of those masks, it looks like a few people are ready to mow!

Ok, the photos of the swine altar alleviated whatever (few? many?) concerns I've had about you and John. The media coverage here has been breathless and, I think, hysterical; it's hard to know what is really going on in MC. And, belatedly, can I just say: you rock for getting so close to Obama! I'm sighing vicariously... love, C
