One of the bests beef place in Mexico City is Palominos, on Insurgentes, in front of the WTC. It sells Sonoran beef which in my humble opinion is better than the argentinian one.

Cheddar cheese? Real english cheddar chese -you can imagine the cost- can be found in El Mercado de San Juan, just some blocks from Balderas street, close to Salto del Agua metro station. There is a kind of similar cheese made in Mexico called "Chihuahua", don't buy it in the super, that is just a "Queso tipo" which tends to be bland and taste like nothing, you can get the real one also en el Mercado de San Juan ($90 pesos el kilo)

Kindest regards, keep writing I love your style...

here in the Pacific Coast it's not that easy getting a good steak. We need to trek from La Manzanilla to Melaque, purchase the meat from the Happy Cow and bring it back home to cook it! Lucky you to have so many choices in DF.
